IFSTI 51st Annual Food Science and Technology Conference
On December 6th-7th, 2023 TU Dublin attended the IFSTI 51st Annual Food Science and Technology Conference at Teagasc Food Research Centre, Ashtown in Dublin. The theme of the conference was ‘Food Systems in a Changing World – the Science, Challenges and Opportunities’ and it brought together delegates from industry, universities, and research centres across Ireland and Europe. Over the two days there were many insightful presentations and discussions from national and international keynote speakers from industry and academia including Dr Kari Tronsmo, President of EIT Food Protein Think Tank, and Dr Ian Noble, VP R&D at Mondelez International, who gave their perspective on the challenges and opportunities that our food systems are facing and are likely to face in the future. The conference was also an opportunity for PhD and Post Doctoral researchers to present and discuss how their current research and innovation activities could work in benefiting our global food systems.
